What’s Happening Today
Free hands-on activities are available in the Tinkering Garage and Tinker Works daily. These spaces provide children and adults with materials and tools to explore their sense of innovation and creativity. Each space has a monthly theme but guests are encouraged to explore beyond the theme if they wish.
Get ready for an awesome show that's all about how things move! We'll use cool stuff like floating beach balls, stretchy rubber bands, and spinning bottles to show you Newton's Three Laws of Motion. These laws are like the rules that make things go, and we'll see how they work in the world around us in a super fun way!
Warning: This live show just might blow your mind. Experience the explosive fun of Science Live! This dynamite show is anything but ordinary. Watch our scientists perform a variety of experiments in this explosion spectacular, but be prepared — this show gets loud.
This show is presented in the Science Live Auditorium near the main entrance.
Please Note: Science shows can get LOUD! Our presenters will give cues in advance of explosions and loud noises. However, the shows can get VERY loud.
Earth is home to many diverse and beautiful ecosystems, powerful and dynamic weather, and millions of species of plants and animals. But how does it compare to our nearest cosmic neighbors? Has it always been this way, and will it stay this way forever? "Our Changing Earth" explores the changing climates found on Earth and other planets within our solar system, and takes a look into their past, present, and future as we compare them. Visit ancient and frozen riverbeds on Mars, experience the acidic rainstorms and intense heat on Venus, and breathe in the atmosphere of our own planet Earth.
