STEM Camps for Kids in Oklahoma City
If you’re looking for engaging STEM and STEAM camps in Oklahoma City, Science Museum Oklahoma offers five exciting camp programs throughout the year—winter, spring, summer, fall, and special break camps. Designed for PreK through 6th grade (typically ages 4 – 12), our camps keep kids learning, exploring, and having fun even when school is out. With hands-on science activities, creative problem-solving, and interactive experiments, our camps spark curiosity and make every school break an adventure!

Thanksgiving Break Camps

Forest Friends
Step into the forest to discover the amazing animals, plants, and habitats that make nature come alive! Through hands-on science, nature exploration, and creative activities, campers will learn about the wonders of the natural world. Adventure awaits!

Suit up for an exciting journey to the Red Planet! Future astronauts will explore planets, rockets, and the possibility of life beyond Earth while completing hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, and space-themed activities.

Dig into the fascinating world beneath your feet! Explore sparkling minerals, ancient fossils, and incredible rocks while discovering how Earth has changed over time. Campers will unearth hidden treasures through exciting hands-on geology investigations.

Candy Chemistry
Discover the science behind your favorite sweets through exciting experiments that mix chemistry with a little sugar! Candy becomes a scientific tool as campers investigate colorful reactions, test chemical properties, and enjoy edible science activities. This camp will use common food ingredients. Please note any allergies upon registration.
Winter Break Camps (Week 1 - December 21 & 22)

Snowball Science
Roll, toss, slide, and explore! Campers will investigate how snow and ice can change the way things move by testing ramps, experimenting with rolling and sliding on different surfaces, and creating simple snowball launchers. Through fun, hands-on challenges, young scientists will discover how surfaces affect motion while practicing problem-solving and creative thinking.

Survive the Freeze
How do animals survive in some of the coldest places on Earth? Campers will explore Arctic animal adaptations and investigate how insulation helps living things stay warm. Then they’ll become engineers as they design, build, and test shelters to protect animals from the cold. Using their discoveries, campers will improve their creations and put them to the test in the ultimate Arctic survival challenge.

Polar Research Expedition
Bundle up for an exciting journey to the polar regions! Campers will investigate Arctic and Antarctic environments, explore animal adaptations, and discover how scientists study Earth’s coldest places. Through hands-on experiments and research challenges, they’ll use observation, teamwork, and creative problem-solving to uncover the science behind polar ecosystems.

Innovators - 4th - 6th Grade (up to 12 years old)
Build for the Blizzard
Can you engineer solutions to survive a winter storm? Campers will tackle a series of challenges as they design bridges to cross icy rivers, build structures to withstand blizzard conditions, and develop ways to transport supplies through harsh environments. They’ll put their solutions to the test, analyze what works (what doesn’t), and use their results to improve their designs. Can their engineering survive the ultimate blizzard challenges?

Math Magic & Pattern Play
Numbers, shapes, patterns, and puzzles come to life in this playful math adventure! Campers will build with shapes, sort colorful objects, create patterns, and tackle simple counting challenges. Through games and hands-on activities, children will discover that math is everywhere and can be full of surprises.

Flight School
Three, two, one—launch! Campers will explore the science of flight by testing paper airplanes, designing parachutes, and building simple rockets. Through hands-on experiments and friendly engineering challenges, students will discover how shape and forces affect movement in the air and learn how small changes can make a big difference.

Chemical Chaos
Get ready to mix, fizz, bubble, and explore! Campers will investigate colorful reactions, experiment with mixtures, and discover the science behind surprising changes. Through hands-on experiments and science challenges, they’ll make predictions, test their ideas, and use their observations to solve mysteries like real scientists.

Survival of the Fittest
What does it take to survive in the wild? Campers will explore how animals find food, avoid predators, adapt to their habitats, and compete for resources. Through hands-on investigations and engineering challenges, students will discover the science behind animal survival and design creative solutions to real-world wildlife conservation issues.

Extended Care
Need a little extra time and flexibility? Science Museum Oklahoma now offers extended care for after camp, so campers enjoy even more supervised exploration.
For campers between kindergarten and 6th grade, after care options are now available for Fall and thanksgiving break:
