Science Museum Oklahoma is proud to announce the newest professional development workshop for educators across Oklahoma with The ‘E’ in STEM: Going Beyond Bridges and Towers hosted on November 15, 2025 from 9:30am to 2:00pm.
This opportunity for teachers is possible through the support of the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma. The workshop combines hands-on learning, inquiry-based design, and real world relevance that equips teachers with the right tools to bring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math alive for students of all ages. Focusing on the “E” for Engineering, the one-day session explores innovative approaches to content that levels up from the standard bridge and tower building classroom activities.
As the name suggests, teachers can expect an out-of-the-ordinary workshop rather than the standard lecture and learn model.
“In our ever-changing educational environments, accessible, high quality professional development is more crucial now than ever,” says Heather Johnston, Vice President of Programs and Education. “We are committed to bringing affordable, highly engaging and exceptionally fun workshops that also bring strong alignment to educational standards and translate into real classroom use. With incredible partners such as the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma, we can do this and provide more teachers with quality, affordable learning opportunities.”
The workshop is open to educators from all levels and subject areas. Thanks to the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma, registration is only $10 which includes materials and lunch for the day. More information and registration can be found at www.sciencemuseumok.org/educators.
