Dinosaurs are sticking around a bit longer at Science Museum Oklahoma. Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep, originally scheduled to close after Labor Day, is now extending its stay until January 2027.
The traveling exhibition allows guests to step into the prehistoric world with lifelike animatronic dinosaurs, hands-on exhibits, and immersive experiences. The exhibition is included with general admission.
“Guests officially have more time to experience Expedition Dinosaur: Into The Deep through the holiday season,’” said Sherry Marshall, John E. Kirkpatrick President and CEO at Science Museum Oklahoma. “That means more chances for families to dig, discover, and make a few prehistoric memories together before it leaves us in January.”
Created in collaboration with paleontologist Thomas E. Williamson, Ph.D., Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep blends science with interactive exploration. Guests of the museum encounter towering animatronic dinosaurs, examine replica fossils, and investigate how paleontologists uncover clues about Earth’s prehistoric past.
Families can also bring dinosaur artwork to life through a digital drawing experience, reshape ancient landscapes in an augmented reality sandpit, and travel through prehistoric oceans during an immersive 360-degree theater presentation.
