Science Museum Oklahoma is making National Grandparents Day special for families wanting to celebrate on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026. With a paid admission to the museum, a grandparent receives free admission from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This offer is available for tickets purchased on-site at the museum.

“Curiosity doesn’t have an age limit, and grandparents can pass their love of discovering new things on from one generation to the next,’” said Sherry Marshall, John E. Kirkpatrick President and CEO at Science Museum Oklahoma. “Whether they’re exploring something familiar in a new way or discovering something alongside their grandchildren for the first time, we hope families use this day to be curious together.”

Guests can spend Grandparents Day exploring more than 390,000 square feet of hands-on science experiences and hundreds of interactive exhibits throughout the museum. Sept. 13 also marks the final day to experience Barbie™ You Can Be Anything™: The Experience at Science Museum Oklahoma. The traveling exhibition encourages guests to explore possibilities through play while discovering careers ranging from science and medicine to aviation and the arts.

Science Museum Oklahoma offers an indoor, hands-on environment where families can connect through learning and playing, making it the perfect destination for a memorable Grandparents Day outing.
