Parents’ Night Out After Hours Event Gives Kids A Fun Night Without Parents
Parents who are looking for a Valentine’s week plan that benefits the whole family can mark their calendars for Parents’ Night Out at Science Museum Oklahoma. Taking place Friday, Feb. 13, the evening offers children ages 6–12 a high-quality, after-hours museum experience led by Science Museum Oklahoma educators, while parents enjoy time away knowing their kids are engaged, safe, and inspired.
This event runs from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and transforms the museum into an exclusive evening playground for young scientists. Participants will enjoy hands-on science activities, engaging demonstrations, and after-hours exhibit exploration designed just for them.
“This night is all about creating meaningful experiences for both kids and parents,” said Sherry Marshall, John E. Kirkpatrick President and CEO of Science Museum Oklahoma. “Whether parents are stepping out for a Valentine’s dinner or are just needing a break, their kids are having an incredible night filled with exploration, learning, and discovery in a place that is built just for them.”
Each Parents’ Night Out ticket is $60 for members and $70 for non-members. It includes exclusive after-hours access to museum exhibits, interactive science demonstrations and activities, pizza and snacks. Also, all activities supervised by trained Science Museum Oklahoma educators. In addition, attendees will receive the same care and intentionality found in the museum’s award-winning camp programs.
Advance registration is required and closes Feb. 9, 2026. For more information, visit sciencemuseumok.org.
