Tinkering fosters creativity, problem-solving, and curiosity in children. Through hands-on activities, they engage in active learning, building confidence and critical thinking skills. At Science Museum Oklahoma, our two tinkering spaces provide a fun, imaginative way to spark curiosity and a love for science and exploration.

Tinkering Garage

Best for Ages 7+

Step into the Tinkering Garage, where engineering, art, and technology come together in a hands-on, creative space for all ages. This interactive workshop invites you to explore, invent, design, and build through ever-changing hands-on activities. With new projects each month, there’s always something fresh to discover.

Tinker Works

Best for ages 4 – 7

Tinker Works is designed for curious minds ages 4-7, where hands-on activities spark creativity and build essential skills. This engaging space encourages young learners to experiment, create, and build, developing hand-eye coordination and engineering skills along the way. Through playful exploration, children gain confidence in problem-solving while discovering the fun of science and engineering in an interactive setting.
