Storm Safety Day

Storm Safety Day aims to help residents better understand the science of severe weather and how to stay prepared. Science Museum Oklahoma is partnering with KOKH TV FOX25 to host Storm Safety Day on March 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This family friendly program focuses on making weather science easy to understand and engaging for all ages. Throughout the day, guests can take part in hands on activities that explore the forces behind severe weather, including electricity, wind, and air pressure. The event also features special Science Live shows at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., led by FOX25 Chief Meteorologist Jack Gerfen, who will break down how storms form and why preparedness matters.
Storm Safety Day will also feature information and activity stations from community partners such as the Mesonet, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management providing valuable resources on how to stay safe during severe weather.
All Storm Safety Day activities are included with general admission to Science Museum Oklahoma. Tickets can be purchased at sciencemuseumok.org/tickets.
