Try This: Shaving Cream Rain Cloud

If there’s rain in the forecast, don’t let that put a damper on your fun — take a little rain cloud inside! This is great fun for the very young and the very young at heart.

Here’s what you need:

• A clear glass, a jar,  or vase — something that can hold water
• Food coloring
• Shaving cream
• Water

Now here comes the fun:

1. Fill the glass about ¾ full with water.

2. Fill the rest of the glass with shaving cream.

3. Add a few drops of food coloring into the cloud and observe.

What’s happening:
As the “rain” (food dye) gets too heavy in the “cloud” (the shaving cream), it begins to release into the “atmosphere” (the water below) falling as rain!
