'Beautiful Minds' of Dyslexia Featured in Science Museum Oklahoma Exhibition Opening Nov. 9

The art, brilliance and power of people with dyslexia will be on display in Science Museum Oklahoma’s smART Space galleries in November as SMO debuts “Beautiful Minds – Dyslexia and the Creative Advantage” with a gallery opening from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 9 at the museum located at 2020 Remington Place in Oklahoma City. The gallery opening includes appetizers, a cash bar and is free and open to the public.

One Thousand Paper Butterflies Migrate to Science Museum Oklahoma as Part of ‘Follow The Monarchs’

One thousand paper monarch butterflies adorned with kids’ drawings and messages are migrating to Science Museum Oklahoma to spend the winter roosting in the museum’s GadgetTrees exhibit. Collectively, these butterflies make up a traveling art exhibit called “Follow the Monarchs” coordinated by The Nature Conservancy of Oklahoma (TNC) and local artist Christie Hackler.

Designed for families with children of all ages, SMO’s Late Nite Lab program offers a variety of unique activities connected to each lab’s theme as well as access to the museum’s permanent exhibits and live shows.

Science Museum Oklahoma Sets Single-Day Attendance Record During Tinkerfest

Two entire cars were taken apart, a 21-foot-tall robot dominated the landscape and more than 65 tinkering activities covered the floors and grounds of Science Museum Oklahoma as 11,163 guests attended the museum’s Tinkerfest presented by Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR on Sept. 29, shattering the museum’s single-day attendance record set during Tinkerfest in 2017.
